Caulfield Grammar have won both the APS boys and girls tennis titles in a rare double win, with major contributions coming from Kooyong Foundation players.

Grace Thomas (Captain), Gemma Pearson, Isabel Cairns were dominant performers for the girl’s team, with Thomas Ranson (Captain), Cooper Pearson, Max Phillips heading up the top order of CGS boys team. The boys and girls’ premierships was the first time in the school’s history that both the boys and girls teams had won in the prestigious APS tennis competition in the same season.

“Being captain this year has been a privilege. It’s taught me so much—about leadership, teamwork, and the importance of backing the people around you. Over my years playing tennis at Caulfield, I’ve come to understand just how hard it is to win an APS premiership. From the moment I joined the team in Year 7, it was always the dream. There have been challenges, setbacks, and seasons where we came close—but to finally achieve it in my final year, with this group, is something I’ll never forget” Captain Grace Thomas said upon reflection of the teams win.

The Foundation also had strong representation in the APS vs AGS rep teams. Baxter Errey, Ayaan Chowdhary, Ayush Salunkhe were selected in the AGS team with Thomas Ranson, Lachlan King, Cooper Pearson, Max Phillips, Louis Rebiere and Ashton Coster selected in the APS team.

In the APS girls’team, Grace Thomas and Gemma Pearson were selected, with the APS winning both matchups.

Well done to all involved!
