Nikolas Baker has impressively won the singles and doubles titles at 12/U National Claycourt Championships in Canberra.
Coming in as the top seed for the tournament, Baker was in fine form going through the draw without dropping a set to claim the title defeating Queensland’s Taiki Takizawa 6-2, 6-4 in the final.
“I played some great tennis all week and am really pleased to come away with the win as this was one of my goals for 2022. I’d like to thank the Kooyong Foundation for all their support.”
Baker teamed up with fellow Victorian Lachlan King to also win the doubles title capping a highly successful week for the 12 year old.
